Amazing Cherry Cheesecake Recipe
When I was young, my grandma used to make the best cherry cheesecake recipe. My siblings and I would go over to her house and sit at the counter as we watched her bake the dessert.
Eventually as I grew older, she asked me to help her, and taught me the recipe herself. Years later, it’s still one of my absolute favorite things to make—and eat.
If you’re anything like me, then you’re definitely a fan of cherry cheesecake. I have to be honest—even the thought of it makes my mouth start to water.
There’s just something about that sweet, tasty cheesecake filling in my mouth, combined with the juicy flavor of the cherries soaking into my tastebuds.
During the summertime, especially, cherry cheesecake is a fan favorite for my entire family.
My kids love when I make this recipe, and my husband can’t get enough of it! After dinner, our whole family will sit around the table and dig into the delectable cherries, savory cheesecake filling and of course, my favorite crumble. Needless to say, it has become a sort-of staple in our house.
So, I decided to put together a little snippet so all of you can try the recipe out for yourselves, as well. See what you like or dislike about it, then edit it to fit your own tastebuds.

TOP QUESTIONS I GET ASKED ABOUT THIS RECIPE:
CAN CHERRY CHEESECAKE BE FROZEN?
Yes, the cheesecake can freeze without the cherry topping. Wrap the cheesecake base and filling with plastic wrap and a layer of foil to freeze up to one month. To defrost the cheesecake, unwrap it and cover it with a fresh layer of plastic wrap. Then, leave it in the fridge overnight before spooning on the cherry topping.
HOW MANY CALORIES ARE IN CHERRY CHEESECAKE?
While it does depend on which brands of products you choose to use in the recipe, the average slice of cherry cheesecake holds approximately 500 calories. The calories are definitely worth the taste, though, in my opinion!
WHAT TYPE OF ICE CREAM PAIRS BEST WITH CHERRY CHEESECAKE?
While the answer to this question definitely depends on your flavor taste buds, I always think that a classic vanilla ice cream pairs perfectly with this cherry cheesecake recipe. However, if you’re really a fan of cherry cheesecake, there’s always the option to pair it with a cherry cheesecake ice cream, as well. I’ll share my favorite recipe for cherry cheesecake ice cream, soon, too!
