How To Crochet Beautiful DIY Crocodile Stitch Booties
Crochet is my favorite hobby of all time. I spend hours and hours crocheting. In fact, I just finished crocheting a lovely pair of crocodile stitch booties for my daughter. She will be 2 around Christmas time so these booties will be perfect to keep her feet toasty and warm in the house over the winter.
If you wanted your kids to wear these outside I would highly reccomend sewing a strip of leather or sued on the soul of these booties to keep them from getting damp or the yarn to fray. All in all a pair of booties should only take your an hour or so. You can go really fancy and add buttons and even ribbon to the booties too. The world is your oyster as they say!
What you will need:
- Worsted Weight yarn (500 yds)
- Size F (3.75 mm) crochet hook
- Yarn needle; Sewing Needle
- 6 size 3/4″ (19 mm) buttons
- Stitch markers
If you are not a fan of watching videos you can buy several crocodile stitch boot patters for a very reasonable price over on craftsy.com.
I prefer to see a video tutorial and that is how I started to crochet.
